The tool "Map Search" is designed to allow searches based on the location of points of interest listed on Land of Sun. Every point of interest is marked on the map of Italy with a placeholder, and through map-based search, you can navigate between the numerous points of interest according to their position.

In each page, on the top, there is a menu with the voice "Map Search". Hover opens a drop down menu that lists every category you can search on the map.
Clicking oh Map Search you will access on a generic map search. A map appears with all points of interest present on Land of Sun. It's easy to figure out that reporting all points on a single map would be chaotic and impractical, then, in the first view there are only a few points of interest. Browsing through the pages with the numbers at the bottom you can see other points of interest. The website shows the default 100 points of interest at once.
Above the map there are useful tools to filter the displayed items and focus research on own purposes. Selecting multiple categories (or just one) and click on "Apply", the page will display only the types of items you have selected. You can also select the province (eg. Terni) to restrict further the search field and get more targeted results. Moreover, you can also choose the number of items to display per page (5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500).

If you click in one of the items of the drop-down menu (for example, "Accommodation"), instead of clicking on "Map Search", it will be reported only points of interest of the selected type. It is a search already filtered, it can be useful for a streamline navigation.

Point of interest's markers include the link to the specific page of the point of interest. It will be enough to click on the placeholder to display a balloon with the summary information of the point and, clicking on the name of the place in the balloon, you will go to the specific page.

On the map, in addition to points of interest, you can also search the events and all the municipalities in Italy. In the specific page for each event are given all the information about the event itself. In the specific page of each municipality is the location of the municipality and, if available, a brief description of its distinctive features.

It's possible to move the map, zoom in or out, simply using the tools on the left of the map.
